I find the atlas a very valuable supplement to the mandatory textbook, which for our students is Robbins and Cotran. Although our teaching is based on our own collection of digitized slides, the atlas is very useful for self-study. In a large volume and complex in the textbook, for obvious reasons, the pictures can not act as an atlas, however, the size of the enlargement in a large part of them makes interpretation difficult for people with little experience, i.e. students - the addressees of the book. In the atlas, even a beginner can use the vast majority of photos. If I could suggest something that would, in my opinion, be used for teaching, I would like to highlight the following aspects: 1. avoiding microscopic images at low magnifications, which are difficult for students to interpret, or refining the description and labeling of images 2. showing macroscopic images in a larger magnification, so that the cross-sectional area or the organ surface is clearly visible, so that even an inexperienced person can notice the characteristics themselves (creating the impression of participating in an autopsy) 3. Avoiding unmarked photos 4. very detailed description which does not allow for doubts in the student's learner, please compare photo 3-45, RS cell is marked and described, but there are still a few classic RS in the photo, and the student may wonder if the other ones are and has the possibility of self verification.
