‘Absolutely perfect! This book is amazing. I love it.’
‘Concise, relevant and easy to use book. love it. Thank you, Kumar and Clark!’
‘I am a first-year medical student and this book has done wonders for me! Instead of having to trawl through the unreliability of the internet, I have clear, concise and well-presented information all in one book! I find that using this book helps me engage better with my clinical placements! In my opinion a must buy for all budding clinical based students!’
‘My favourite medical textbook. The world's number 1 book for medical students.’

Henry & Thompson: Clinical Surgery
Magowan et al. Clinical Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Extensive and complete. Both basics anatomy + physiology, as well as very clinical. For a basic course it is very (/too) in depth.
Excellent update to previous. Easy to follow. Will be using as core text
Excellent staple for the students. Good basis for pre-reading prior to in-depth discussion about a system
Have contributed seven online chapters Is in the International Advisory board
My only concern with K&C is that each edition gets larger. I have the 1st edition from my days at medical school still on the shelf and, in the preface to the 1st edition, the editors state a wish to 'bridge the gap between purely introductory and larger reference works.' I fear the book has already passed beyond being suitable as an introduction and is more of a reference text.
The information provide is this text is current and relevant to the practicing physician associate.
This book is one of my favourites , covers all what is needed and more
A time tested core textbook of medicine
This is a fantastic resource for those doing advanced practice courses especially when doing focussed modules in areas such as acute medicine. Information is well presented with lots of tables and figures to highlight key points. Useful basic science explanations augment and support the clinical aspects of the text. An essential reference source in my opinion.
Comprehensive text to form core part of the course reading list
Very useful for dietetics students level 6 modules.
Excellent book, with a depth of clinical knowledge. Allows the student to gain a deeper understanding of the clinical subject.
This book is one of the excellent textbooks for medical students as well as other students or professionals those who are in clinical field. I have been using this textbook from its 2nd edition onward( 1992).

We will continue to recommend this book as a core text for clinical students.
This text is comprehensive, well presented and an ideal companion to a systems based UG medicine program.
Excellent book for detailed explanations
Really useful text for additional depth in advanced undergraduate nursing programme, where standard nursing pathophysiology textbooks are not enough.
Great reading for advanced undergraduates.
This is an advanced book, with a lot of medical-oriented information. There are some explanations of conditions which are fantastic, and very useful for our students. I do feel the emphasis on the textbook relates far more to biochemistry, as it rightfully should, however, it may not be too useful for our students. This book will still be "strongly" recommended to students, and I will ask our library to ensure they have a good stock of this updated version
