This book is excellent. It has valuable illustrations. The details are tuned well for medical students and sufficient. Concepts are clear and comprehensive. Also, clinical aspects are interesting and accessible to medical students at their early years of medical school.
The book is great, with many illustrations that are always welcome in medical biochemistry. Also, there are great correlations of basic medicine with clinical cases. A wonderful example: "From the bench to the bed". Wonderful help in preparing the lecture. Keep safe!
I think this book is very good at cramming a large amount of information into succinct chapters. As a result the sentences can be very terse and lack a wider explanation of underlying concepts so I'd recommend this as additional reading for more interested/advanced students. Netter's illustrations are of course beautiful and instructive however it is glaring that every single person depicted is a white stereotype. This makes it feel dated and does not fit comfortably with our attempts to improve the diversity of our curriculum and our student population.

Very beneficial for our students in Clinical Biochemistry I & II.
A book with very useful information
The Netter's Essential Biochemistry is a wonderful book. I really enjoy reading it, because it has all the details our students need to know. The illustrations are more than beautiful. Before starting the exam period i recommended my english speaking students to use this book when preparing for the biochem finals.
Lovely illustrations. Medical conditions related to biochemical complications very well explained.
This book is very usefull in teaching pathobiochemistry for medical students.
